FAQ
Who is Crema Seat?
Crema Seat is a line by EASEN Commercial Furniture focused on coffee shop and cafe furniture: side chairs, upholstered dining chairs, lounge chairs and small tables. We make everything to order in our own production base in Lecong, Foshan, China, the largest furniture trading hub in the world, and ship factory-direct to coffee shop owners, specialty chains and bakery-cafes.
How many seats fit in my coffee shop?
As a planning rule of thumb, allow about 15-18 sq ft (1.4-1.7 m²) of dining area per seat for a coffee shop with mostly two-tops and some lounge seating. A 600 sq ft (56 m²) seating area therefore holds roughly 33-40 seats. Your legal maximum is set by the occupant load in your local building and fire code, which uses its own factors, so confirm the final count with your architect or fire official.
What seat height should a cafe chair have?
A standard cafe chair has a seat height of about 18 in (46 cm), paired with a table at 29-30 in (74-76 cm), leaving 10-12 in (25-30 cm) between the seat and the tabletop. Counter stools sit at 24-26 in (61-66 cm) for a 36 in (91 cm) counter, and bar stools at 29-31 in (74-79 cm) for a 42 in (107 cm) bar ledge.
Can you change sizes, fabrics and finishes?
Yes. Everything is made to order, so we can adjust table top sizes, chair seat heights for counter versions, seat upholstery (including your own material, COM/COL), wood stains and powder-coat colors. We confirm every change on a dimensioned shop drawing before production, and can build a pre-production sample on request.
What are your lead times?
Typically 30-45 days for standard designs and 45-60 days for custom work, counted from approval of drawings and samples, plus sea transit to your port. The exact schedule depends on quantities and finishes and is confirmed in each quote. For an opening date, work back from your fit-out schedule and allow a margin for customs and delivery.
Do you ship to the US and the UK?
Yes. We ship by sea in export packing and quote FOB (you arrange freight from China), CIF (we ship to your port) or DDP (delivered with duties paid) on request. We do not keep a local warehouse, so furniture is made for your order and shipped direct from Foshan.
Do your chairs meet CAL TB 117-2013 or UK fire rules?
We specify foams and fabrics to meet the rules of your market on request, for example CAL TB 117-2013 for upholstered seating in the US, or BS 5852 ignition sources to BS 7176 medium hazard for UK contract use. Test reports are supplied for the specific item and material where available. Tell us your requirement at quote stage, because it affects the foam and fabric we use.
What is the minimum order?
Minimums are low for contract orders and are confirmed per design. A single cafe fit-out of 30-60 seats is a normal order for us, and mixed-SKU loads (chairs, tables and lounge pieces in one container) are welcome.
Which table size is best for a coffee shop?
For most coffee shops, 24 × 24 in (61 × 61 cm) two-tops are the most efficient, since most parties are one or two guests and the tables can be pushed together for groups. Use 28-30 in (71-76 cm) tops if you serve brunch plates, and keep a few 30 × 48 in (76 × 122 cm) or 36 in (91 cm) round tables for groups of four.
How deep should a window bar counter be?
A window ledge for drinks and laptops works at 12-18 in (30-46 cm) deep. 12 in (30 cm) holds a cup and phone; 16-18 in (41-46 cm) fits a laptop and a plate. Allow 22-24 in (56-61 cm) of length per stool. If the ledge is the main seating in a zone, provide an accessible section at 28-34 in (71-86 cm) high nearby.
What materials are easiest to clean?
For seats, bleach-cleanable vinyl or polyurethane-coated fabric is the easiest; tightly woven polyester contract fabrics are next. For tops, high-pressure laminate and sintered stone are the most forgiving, followed by veneer with a catalyzed or PU lacquer and sealed edges. Powder-coated steel legs survive mops and kicks better than painted wood.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. On request we build a pre-production sample of a chair or table in your chosen finish and ship it to you, so you can check comfort, color and build before the full run. Sample costs and freight are quoted separately and are confirmed in your quote.
Do chairs arrive assembled?
Most side chairs ship assembled or with legs packed separately, depending on the model and the container plan. Tables usually ship with tops and bases packed separately and bolt together in minutes. We confirm the packing method in the quote because it affects how many pieces fit in a container.
Why buy factory-direct from Foshan?
Buying direct from the workshop that builds your furniture means you get made-to-order sizes and finishes, drawings before production and one point of contact from quote to shipping. The trade-off is lead time: allow for production plus ocean transit rather than expecting next-week delivery from stock.
