Round, low and soft, this tub chair wraps the sitter in a continuous curved arm and back. A cylindrical bolster pillow sits against the inside of the back, and the deep seat cushion is set slightly below the arm line. The whole chair is upholstered in a cream boucle and rests on a recessed dark plinth that lets it turn.
The swivel is practical in a coffee shop lounge: guests can turn toward a friend, the window or the counter without dragging the chair across the floor, which saves the floor finish and the noise. The compact round footprint fits between other lounge pieces where a square armchair would block the path.
Construction: plywood and solid wood frame, high-resilience foam with fiber wrap, contract boucle; steel swivel mechanism under a recessed plinth.
