A warm red-brown stripe woven into a cream ground gives these chairs a cheerful, slightly retro look, and the fabric runs over every surface so the shapes read as soft, solid blocks. Four shapes are shown:
- a rounded armchair with arched back, curved arms, a loose seat cushion and a lumbar pillow, on tapered light-wood legs
- a squared armchair with open, flat upholstered arms and block legs
- a wide three-channel chair with puffed seat and back between open squared arms
- an armless slipper with a rounded back on short round wood feet
Because the stripe runs vertically, the chairs look taller and slimmer than they are, which helps in small rooms. Mix the slipper with one of the armchairs to vary the silhouette around a coffee table.
Construction: solid wood and plywood frames, high-resilience foam with fiber wrap, contract woven fabric; solid wood legs with glides.
Where it works: coffee shop lounge corners, brunch cafe waiting areas, hotel cafes and salons.
Options: shape, leg type, fabric (COM accepted); CAL TB 117-2013 foam on request.
