The Mocha mixes a quiet seat with a loud back. The seat is a thick, softly rounded cushion in a grey textured fabric; above it, a separate back pad is covered in a dense tropical print of birds, animals and foliage. Dark solid wood side frames hold the two together and run down to the floor in a gentle sled shape.
Splitting seat and back like this is practical for a cafe: the seat takes most of the wear and can be made in a hard-wearing plain fabric, while the back carries the pattern that gives the room its personality. Either part can be re-covered on its own later.
Construction: plywood seat frame with high-resilience foam, upholstered back pad screwed to solid wood side frames, commercial lacquer finish, floor glides.
Where it works: relaxed cafe dining at low tables, lounge corners, coffee shops with a botanical or maximalist look.
Options: any printed or plain fabric for each part (COM accepted), frame stain; foam specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request. Final dimensions are confirmed on the shop drawing.
