The base is the story here. A squared walnut column carries natural cane panels on its faces, so the table shares a language with the cane-backed chairs so many cafes already use. Above it sits a creamy, softly mottled sintered stone top that reads like French limestone, finished with a thin bronze-toned metal edge band.
The column stands on a rounded-square bronze metal plate rather than separate legs. That keeps the floor area clear for shoes and bags, spreads the weight, and gives a clean place for adjustable glides. The cane sits in a framed recess, so it is protected from knocks and can be re-woven or replaced without rebuilding the base.
Where it works. Cafes with warm wood and rattan interiors, hotel breakfast rooms, tea salons and bakery-cafes.
Height. 29½ in (75 cm) dining height, designed to sit with standard 18 in (46 cm) seat chairs.
Care. Cane should be kept dry and out of all-day direct sun; the stone top takes the spills.
Options. Other sizes, rounded or round tops, other slab patterns, edge colors and cane patterns are available on request.
