Not every coffee shop has room for armchairs. The Breve is a slipper chair cut down to a small footprint: no arms, a seat just wide enough for one person to sit comfortably, and a tall rounded back that gives the support of a lounge chair without the width. Fine piping outlines the back and seat, and the cream fabric shown has a soft matte velvet face.
Because it has no arms, the Breve can sit in pairs around a low table, line up along a wall, or tuck into the corner of a window bay. Its rounded back also softens the edge of a room full of square tables.
Construction: plywood and hardwood frame, high-resilience foam with fiber wrap, upholstery with piped seams; concealed glides under a fully upholstered base.
Where it works: small cafe lounges, waiting areas in bakery-cafes, coffee bars in salons and boutiques.
Options: performance velvet, boucle or contract fabric (COM accepted); a darker color or a performance finish for busier rooms; foam specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request. Dimensions confirmed on the shop drawing.
