The Affogato is the conversation piece of a lounge corner. A plump, rounded seat sits low on a recessed base; above it, a long cylindrical bolster acts as the back, resting on a U-shaped solid wood yoke that rises from behind the seat. Both seat and bolster are upholstered in a woven jacquard with a small scalloped geometric pattern in olive and cream.
The bolster supports the lower back while leaving the shoulders free, so guests sit upright enough to work at a coffee table but still feel relaxed. The open space under the bolster keeps the chair low and light from behind, which matters when it faces into the room.
Construction: plywood seat frame with high-resilience foam, bolster on a hardwood core, solid wood yoke bolted through the base; commercial lacquer finish.
Where it works: lounge corners, cafe-lounges, coffee shops in design hotels, spaces where one statement chair anchors a seating group.
Options: patterned or plain fabric (COM accepted), contrast bolster color, wood stain; foam specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request. Final dimensions are confirmed on the shop drawing.
