The Matcha is a compact round tub that fits a lounge corner where a square armchair would block the walkway. Its rounded back wraps into the arms in one continuous curve, the seat is a thick cushion with a piped edge, and a matching loose cushion adds lower-back support. The olive green chenille shown has a soft, low pile that catches the light along every curve.
The chair sits on a recessed plinth base, so from most angles it seems to hover just above the floor. A round footprint also means it can be angled toward a table, a window or a friend without the corners getting in the way.
Construction: bent plywood and hardwood frame, high-resilience foam over elastic webbing, upholstery fitted with piped seams; recessed plinth with glides.
Where it works: lounge corners, cafe-lounges, coffee shops inside hotels, retail cafes with tight floor plans.
Options: any chenille, velvet, boucle or performance fabric (COM accepted); a swivel plate can be quoted on request; foam and fabric specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 or BS 5852 on request.
