The Cascara gives a lounge corner instant warmth. Its seat is a thick, rounded drum upholstered in a rust chenille with a soft, slightly textured pile. Above it floats a rounded paddle-shaped back, held up by a single flat blonde-wood spine that runs down behind the seat. Two matching wood posts rise at the sides and end in short upholstered arm pads.
The exposed timber does real work: it takes the knocks from bags and trays at the points where upholstered chairs usually wear first, and it ties the chair to wood tables and counters in the same room.
Construction: plywood and hardwood seat frame with high-resilience foam; back panel and arm pads upholstered separately and bolted to solid wood uprights, so worn parts can be re-covered without replacing the chair.
Where it works: lounge corners, window bays, cafe-lounges with a mid-century or 1970s palette.
Options: chenille, velvet or performance fabric in any color (COM accepted); wood stain; foam specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request. Final dimensions confirmed on the shop drawing.
