The Doppio splits the job of a lounge chair into two clear parts. Below, a generous upholstered seat block in grey leather-look material sits on a low solid wood plinth. Above, a curved band of bent veneer wraps around the back like a hoop, carried on a flat timber upright that runs down behind the seat. The result is a chair that is easy to sink into but takes less visual space than a fully upholstered club chair.
That back hoop also does practical work. It is a hard, wipeable surface at exactly the height where guests lean, hang bags and brush past with trays, so the upholstery wears more slowly.
Construction: hardwood and plywood seat frame with high-resilience foam; bent multi-ply veneer back band, lacquer sealed; solid wood plinth with floor glides.
Where it works: low lounge zones beside a coffee table, window corners, cafe-lounges that stay open into the evening.
Options: veneer in oak, ash or walnut tones; seat in vinyl, PU leather or contract fabric (COM/COL accepted). Foam can be specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request.
