The Flat White is the chair guests choose when they plan to stay. A rounded shell wraps the back and arms in one smooth piece, the seat cushion is deep and well padded, and a small buttoned lumbar cushion supports the lower back. Everything is upholstered in a pale blue-grey leather-look material that keeps the room calm and photographs well.
The chair stands on four slim solid wood legs joined by a rear stretcher, which lifts it clear of the floor. That clearance matters in a coffee shop: cleaners can mop underneath without moving every chair, and the room feels lighter than it would with skirted armchairs.
Construction: hardwood and plywood inner frame, high-resilience foam over elastic webbing, upholstery stitched with welted seams; solid wood legs with commercial lacquer and floor glides.
Where it works: lounge corners, reading nooks, quiet back rooms in specialty coffee shops, hotel coffee bars.
Options: any vinyl, PU leather or contract fabric (COM/COL accepted); leg stain; lumbar cushion fixed or loose. Foam and fabric can be specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 or BS 5852 on request.
