With its reclined cane back and wide, flat arms, the Robusta borrows from the colonial planter's chair but trims it down to cafe proportions. The frame is solid timber finished in a warm walnut tone. Both the back and the seat are open-weave cane panels set into timber frames, so the chair breathes in warm rooms and never looks heavy, even in a row.
The arms are broad enough to hold a cup, and the low seat and tilted back invite people to relax rather than perch. A deep timber rail under the front edge stiffens the seat frame and takes the knocks from feet and chair legs.
Care: cane is a natural material. It mellows in color over time, prefers indirect light and should be wiped, not soaked. Loose seat and back pads can be added for longer sittings.
Where it works: patio-facing lounge corners, garden cafes under cover, coffee shops with a botanical or tropical theme.
Options: natural, walnut or dark stain; cane panels or upholstered panels; matching side table. Dimensions confirmed on the shop drawing.
