Deep burgundy with a loose cream line pattern gives these chairs a warm, slightly bookish feel, a good match for darker coffee shops and wine-bar cafes. All four use a walnut-tone solid wood frame with natural cane webbing.
Versions shown:
- a button-tufted back cushion with flat wood arms and cane panels below
- a three-channel puffed back and seat in the same cane-sided frame
- a rounded box chair with L-shaped cane and wood side panels
- a sloping lounger with triangular cane sides and a loose back cushion
The pattern hides everyday marks well, which matters on lounge seating that gets used all day. Pair two around a small side table, or use the channel version as the anchor chair in a reading nook.
Construction: solid wood frames, glued and screwed, catalyzed lacquer; cane webbing in routed frames; plywood deck, high-resilience foam with fiber wrap; contract woven fabric.
Where it works: coffee shop lounges, wine-bar cafes, hotel cafes and bookstore cafes.
Options: frame version, stain, fabric (COM accepted); CAL TB 117-2013 foam on request.
