The Demitasse sits a little lower and wider than a standard side chair, which makes it a good fit for coffee tables and lower window ledges where a full dining chair looks stiff. The seat is a broad, gently shaped wood panel in a natural finish; the back is a framed rectangle of woven cane on a slight recline. Simple side stretchers join the legs.
Because there is no upholstery, the chair is fast to clean and holds up in rooms with heavy turnover. The cane back adds texture and keeps a row of chairs from looking like a wall of wood.
Construction: solid hardwood legs and back frame, molded veneer seat, cane panel set into a routed groove; commercial lacquer and floor glides.
Where it works: pairing with low tables in lounge areas, window counters at lower heights, coffee shops that want a relaxed but tidy look.
Care: cane should be kept away from heaters and all-day direct sun. A tie-on seat pad can be added on request.
Options: natural, walnut or black stain; seat pad; glide type. Dimensions are confirmed on the shop drawing before production.
